Improving Health and Quality of Life for the Elderly

Saksham is our CSR initiative dedicated to creating meaningful impact in the lives of elderly citizens and underserved communities. In partnership with HelpAge India, we focus on improving access to essential and basic healthcare services through Mobile Health Units and restoring vision for elderly persons affected by cataract-related blindness.

Through these initiatives, we strive to ensure that underserved elderly individuals receive timely healthcare support, enabling them to lead healthier, more dignified and independent lives. Our efforts are guided by the belief that access to quality healthcare is fundamental to building stronger and more inclusive communities.

Focus Areas

Our CSR programmes focus on education, environment and improving healthcare access and promoting healthy ageing among vulnerable communities. In partnership with HelpAge India, we support mobile healthcare services and vision restoration programmes that address critical healthcare needs of elderly persons and underserved populations.

Below are our key focus areas.

Transforming Schools

Initiated by The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra (A hotel under Svara Hotels Limited), we support in transforming school spaces by redeveloping, renovating and upgrading their infrastructure, creating safer and modern learning spaces that foster student growth and development.

School Renovation & Refurbishment

As part of the Saksham initiative, we are actively supporting the development, renovation, and upgradation of nine government schools in Agra through civil construction, infrastructure maintenance, and facility improvements. Significant civil work has been completed to redevelop and refurbish selected government schools.

Key activities under this project includes construction and painting of boundary wall and outer facade to improve the learning environment, upgrading washroom facilities for better student hygiene, overhauling drainage systems for improved infrastructure, kitchen, playgrounds and equipping classrooms with new benches, chairs, and blackboards. The project also involves refurbishing ceilings and walls for improved classroom conditions, and constructing a new play area to encourage outdoor activity, the demolition and clearing of outdated structures in the central courtyard, building modern libraries and science labs to inspire learning, distributing new uniforms, notebooks, and stationery for students.
