Oberoi Central Employment Register is a database of candidates who are selected to work as Operations Assistants in The Oberoi Group during an annual recruitment process. The candidates are selected through a recruitment drive conducted across locations in India. After being selected during the OCER recruitment, the candidates get allocated to hotels of The Oberoi Group where they start their career as an Operations Assistant in Front Office, Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping or Kitchen Department. You are eligible for selection in OCER if you have completed or are about to complete your graduation in any discipline or diploma in Hotel Management.

Supervisory Development Programme

Supervisory Develpment Programme(SDP) - Team members become eligble for supervisory positions after 18 - 24 months of joining based on a performance criterion.

It is a policy at the company to groom talent from within and therefore, all supervisors are promoted from within the company. The development and promotion process is called Supervisory Development Programme.

Supervisory Development Programme(SDP) is a three month programme for high potential team members. The programme comprises of structured hotel operations training to enhance technical knowledge and skills as well as behavioural training programmes conducted to enhance behavioural skills required to take the new supervisory role.

The programme is supported at a corporate level and culminates with an online common assesment test. The trainees are certified after a final assesment interview by their General Manager and are awarded 'Oberoi Certified Supervisor' certificates. Ther certified supervisors are a part of company's pool of supervisors and can be promoted either in the same hotel or transferred to another hotel based on availability and employee's openness to mobility

Executive Development Programme

Executive Develpment Programme(EDP) - High potential supervisors who have spent atleast eighteen months in a supervisory role and clear the performance criterion become eligbile for promotion to executive level by nomination to the 'Executive Development Programme'.

The Executive Development Programme(EDP) is a three months programme that comprises of on-the-job hotel operations training followed by a fifteen days management training camp at The Oberoi Center of Learning and Development(OCLD).

The fifteen days comprise of intensive training on a number of management subjects and classes conducted by function heads and other members of leadership including the Chief Executive Officer & Joint Managing Director and President of the company to prepare the EDP trainees for their new managerial roles.

The programme culminates with successful trainees being awarded a completion certificate in a graduation ceremony at the corporate office. The participants are then promoted at the same hotel or transferred to another hotel based on availability and employee's openness to mobility.
